Using the machine

Initially SPINEFORCE will require a sustained push or pull on the machine handles for about 5 seconds with a pause then doing the alternate action to set the amount of force to measure for that set. Once testing begins the platform begins to tilt and oscillate so that it forces your lower body to maintain balance while your upper body supplies the power.

You then attempt to maintain the strength level that you first set by keeping one of the two sets of biofeedback in the desired range and the platform continues to move.

As you improve the amount of time that you maintain the required level of force, your scores increase and eventually more difficulty is added. This can be a change in hand or foot position, increasing the tilt or rotation of the platform, adding the column scan effect (the handles move up and down), or increasing the amount of force used.

As the session programs are individualised for you the Spineforce operator can then assess your results and recommend the best program to work on next. Because SPINEFORCE is flexible it that it offers various programs and difficulty levels it is able to cater to a wide range of individual fitness and ability levels.

The Biofeedback Display

There are two methods of Biofeedback with Spineforce using either a set of numbers or using LED lights centered around a bullseye. Both of these are split to left side and right side.

Using the Handles

The Spineforce handles don't move when force is applied however delicate sensors measure that force and use the biofeedback numbers/lights to relay that information back to the user.

The Platform

Using different hand and foot positions on the machine causes different muscle chains to be recruited to maintain stability.
